Hazard: The recalled Playmags Magna Balls violate the federal standard for children’s toys. When two or more high-powered magnets are swallowed, they can link together inside a child’s intestines and clamp onto body tissues, causing intestinal obstructions, perforations, sepsis and death. Internal injury from magnets can pose serious lifelong health effects.
Remedy: Store credit
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magnetic balls, take them away from children and dispose of the item. If you purchased the recalled magnetic balls for someone else, notify the recipient immediately and ask them to dispose of the product. Contact Toys 4 USA LLC to receive a full refund in the form of a store credit including all taxes and shipping charges. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Description: “Playmags Magna Balls” contains 216 spherical high-power rare earth magnets. Each of these spherical magnets is silver color and about 5 millimeters in diameter. The “Playmags Magna Balls” is packaged in a drum-shape tin container with a lid. The exterior of the container has the labels “KIDSTECH”, “magna balls”, “216 magnetic balls”, and a warning label “This product is not for anyone under the age of 14”.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported with these recalled “Playmags Magna Balls”. CPSC staff has received numerous incident reports of ingestions involving other small, high-powered magnets, including many that required surgery.
